Cave Creek Real Estate Information

The town of Cave Creek is home to only about 5,000 people and is one of the smallest towns in Maricopa County. Recognized for its exceptional shopping, art galleries, and beautiful views of the Sonoran Desert, Cave Creek is filled with activities from horseback riding, rodeos, and western dancing to museums, parks and nature preserves, hiking, biking, and adventure tours. The town is easily reached via the I-17 interstate, commonly known as the Black Canyon Freeway. Located exclusively in the state of Arizona, the I-17 runs from Phoenix to Flagstaff and is only about 150 miles in length. Residents looking to reach Phoenix from Cave Creek need only drive on the I-17 in combination with Highway 74.

One of the local highlights and resident favorites is the Cave Creek Film and Arts Festival. The festival displays the works of both local and traveling artisans and also plays a variety of new movies in an international film festival format. The multi-day event provides prizes to the winners and is a great time for residents to catch up with neighbors and other acquaintances. Residents enjoy Cave Creek because of its quiet streets and relative obscurity. Compared to many other communities outside of Phoenix, Cave Creek receives little to no tourists, as evidenced by the lack of chain hotels in the area. This privacy is quite attractive to many Cave Creek residents.

For residents who enjoy living outdoors, Cave Creek is a prime recreational home. The Gateway Desert Awareness Park is located as a part of the Sonoran Desert and includes an informative trail as well as an amphitheater and children’s play structure. The Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area is much larger and covers over two thousand acres of rugged desert land. Special hikes and tours of the area can easily be arranged with little notice. For avid hikers or equestrians, the Cave Creek Regional Park provides an optimal view of the surrounding area from its peak elevation at 3,060 feet. For the more civilized, the Rancho Manana is a championship course designed with interesting elevation changes, unspoiled terrain, and abundant wildlife.
